ABOUT US
The Lesotho Rap Archive Project is aimed at researching and documenting the development of Rap and Hip Hop, as well as traditional Accordion music over the past two decades, with a focus on capturing important events and moments that have not been widely shared.
The primary impact we hope to achieve with our archival project and workshops is to promote a greater appreciation and understanding of Lesotho Hip Hop and Accordion music within and beyond the region.
In addition to the archival aspect, the project will include a series of workshops targeted primarily at Basotho residents in Lesotho, aimed at providing education and networking opportunities for individuals involved in the music industry.
Additionally, a collaborative effort with organisations in the Southern African region will be sought out to create a pan-African network.
